We seek to share with you that Itach-Maaki, The Center for the Advancement of Women in the Public Sphere (WIPS) at the Van Leer Institute, Agenda and the Heinrich Boell Foundation, accompanied by Dorit Abramovitch, began the process of creating an Action Plan that seeks to shape the proper manner in which Israel should implement the decision UN Security Council in 1325. UNSCR 1325 is calling for integration of women in decision-making centers and the inclusion of gender perspective, especially in foreign affairs and security policy, with emphasis on the obligation to protect women from violence against them and prevent this violence.
